A large late Louis XVI Russian gilt brass and bronze chandelier with five twin candle holders and six single candle holders, hung with prisms, profiled cut glass stem. Late 18th century. H. 145 cm. Diam. 100 cm.

Provenance: Hans Henning Schrøder (1892–1971), Danish Consul General in St. Petersburg in the 1930s. Later the Art Collection of Ambassador John L. Loeb Jr. New York, former ambassador to Denmark 1981–1983, bought at Bruun Rasmussen.
