J. F. Willumsen (b. Copenhagen 1863, d. Cannes 1958)

“Aborreparken” or “Det Nøgne og den manglende Hygge der er over en nyanlagt Park” (The Naked and the lack of cosiness is a newly built Park). Signed in the print Copenhague 1890 J.F. Willumsen and in pencil J. F. Willumsen 1895. Etching. Visible size 49×59 cm.

The etching depicts the now disappeared Aborreparken in Copenhagen, on whose grounds The Student's Association (H.C. Andersens Boulevard) was built. In the background is St. Petri Church.

Condition

The paper has turned slightly brown with small generel handlingfilds. Examined in frame.
