Literature: Noritsugu Oda: “Hans J. Wegner's 100 Chairs”, referred to as “Prototype” and illustrated on pp. 42–43. Literature: Grete Jalk [ed.]: “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design”, vol. 3, p. 142. Literature: Johan Møller Nielsen: “Wegner - en dansk møbelkunstner”. Referred to on p. 64: “Together with the hind legs, these armrests sort of form the outline of a diving dolphin - and one would readily talk of a ”dolphin chair“ to remember which model we are talking about. The armrests - as in other models - look like oar blades polished by the ocean, or in interaction with the hind legs, they look like a finely executed boomerang or some other ethnographic tool taken from the jungle growth of ancient times”.
