Frits Henningsen (b. 1889, d. 1965)
Easy chair with curvy mahogany frame. Seat and back upholstered with black leather. Designed 1954. This example made approx. 1950s by cabinetmaker Frits Henningsen.
Provenance: Carl Hansen & Søn, Gelsted. This very chair was used as a model for the new “”Signature Chair", model FH429, re-launched by Carl Hansen & Søn. The chair that put the finishing touch on Frits Henningsen's lifework was produced in less than 20 pieces. Source: Carl Hansen & Søn.
