One of the rare Danish paintings in which an Afro-Caribbean woman is portrayed (see also lot no. 49).

Provenance: Foreign Minister Otto Rosenørn-Lehn to Guldborgland (1851), former Head of the Royal Painting Collection and The Royal Collection of Graphic Art.
