Benny Dröscher lives and works on the small Danish island Samsø. He is represented in a number of international public art institutions as well as in private collections. He works as a sculptor, graphic artist, but in recent years he has primarily worked as a painter.

The absolutely central motif in Dröscher's work is nature – or perhaps more succinctly: Nature being dissolved. His image world is always ambiguous, since he lets the seemingly authentic representation be punctured by large abstract fields and loosely placed lines. In this way the illusion, seduction and memory’s beautification of the experienced reality is revealed. The artwork shines as colourful daydreams in a world where time, space and perspective are in free fall.
