The Imperial Porcelain Factory

Two Russian porcelain plates, one circular and one elongated, decorated in colours with flower bouquets, trimming with basketwork in relief. Marked E II for (E)Catherina II the Great (1762–1796) and Cyrillic PK in purple meaning “Pridvornaia Kontora” (Court Inventory). The Imperial Porcelain Factory. Diam. 40 cm. L. 46 cm. (2).

The present porcelain was for daily use for the Russian Imperial family. The service was produces from 1750 and to the late 19th century.

Provenance: Acquired by Richard and Erica Zeiner-Henriksen 1922–1927 in St. Petersburg.
