Finn Juhl (b. Frederiksberg 1912, d. Ordrup 1989)

“FJ 45”. A freestanding Brazilian rosewood two seater sofa. Seat, back and loose seat cushions upholstered with reddish brown coloured leather. Designed 1945. This example made approx. 1960–1970s by cabinetmaker Niels Vodder, stamped by maker. L. 118 cm.

The two seater sofa variant of the “FJ 45” chair is a rare piece with only a fraction made in comparison to the easy chair. It was introduced after the success of the easy chair created a need to supplement the chair with a sofa to complete a living room suite.

CITES-certificate valid for transport and re-sale within the European Union included.
