Cabinetmaker Peder Pedersen (1893–1965) is not as widely known as, for example, Rud. Rasmussen or A.J. Iversen, yet he was one of the leading forces at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibitions, where he without interruption between 1931–1964 exhibited furniture of his own design as well as designs by several renowned Danish furniture architects, such as Ole Wanscher, Aksel Bender Madsen and Erik Kolling Andersen. However, it was his long-standing partnership with architect Helge Vestergaard Jensen, which became one of the golden age of Danish design's most iconic collaborations. They first exhibited together in 1955, where they presented the bold and sculptural “Racket” furniture, and their cooperation continued until Peder Pedersen's death in January 1965.
