A Danish verge open-face pocket watch, case of gold richly engraved, white dial with Roman numerals, outer 5-minute Arabic numerals and key wind, gilt movement signed C.F. Bonté, Kiøbenhavn Anno 1777. Weight 73 g. Case diam. 42 mm.
Charles Frédéric Bonté, born in France or Schwitzerland, master in Copenhagen 1771, declared bankrupt in 1772, left the guild in 1780.
