Jens Juel (b. Balslev, Funen 1745, d. Copenhagen 1802)
Portrait of Frederikke Vilhelmine Bille (1771–1851) married to Admiral Steen Andersen Bille (1751–1833). She in a white low-cut dress, red shawl and blue scarf. C. 1800. Unsigned. Pastel on paper. 31.5×24.5 cm. Oval in a rectangular frame.
Mentioned in Ellen Poulsen's Catalogue Raisonné of the Works of Jens Juel no. 833 as a repetition in pastel of the painting, however, the shawl has a striped edge in the pastel different from the pattern in the shawl in the painting.
