The present painting is a study for a larger painting by Küchler from 1839 named “En Bedstemoder pynter en lille Dreng, medens Moderen klæder sig paa foran Speilet” (A Grandmother tidying up a little Boy, while his Mother is dressing in front of a Mirror) sold at Bruun Rasmussen auction 727, 2003 no. 1238.
Minimal crackles. A few minor peelings in the upper right corner.
