A stoneware lid jar modelled in round shape with relief motif of Jonah and the Whale. Decorated with oxblood glaze with ochre and turquoise green elements. Signed Jais. Royal Copenhagen. Accompanied by a patinated and partly gilded bronze lid. Marked monogram KA for Knud Andersen. Royal Copenhagen. H. 18 cm.

Condition

The outer part of foot rim with some scrapings to the surface of glaze; presumably caused by contact with base (which is not included).
